I've tried the wire method, i've tried about 4 other outlets, i've tried 3 to 2 prong cheater plugs and i've tried the switch on the amps that floats the ground. Nothing works. I still hear the hum. It seems to get louder as the volume is increased on my passive preamp. Would one or two new 20 amp outlets fix the issue or would I potentially still have an issue if the new outlets are connected to the same ground?
