little bit dry and edgy by comparison.
I use it from 35hz and up and I think it is very neutral, powerful and dynamic. It adds nothing. Not the last word in ambience resolution and depth, but you'll need to pay big dollars the get better and have this kind of power reserves. It has been a plug in and forget component for me. It's best of a great many SS amps I've used.
I might add that I haven't been a huge booster for tube amps, so I can't help you with those comparisons.
