I never really thought of the BAT VK-3ix as a candidate, as I do want a pre-amp a bit more detailed, refined and open then my Quicksilver RCLinestage.
I do have Spendors S6e for speakers, so they are not the most detailed, or solid in the bass,great midrange though. So that is why I was looking for a Pre with a little less "tubey" sound but still have the rich midrange.
However I do not at all want dry as you mentioned with the ARC LS16mkII.
Would the BAT have any problem driving a SS Amp, Classe- CA-101 with an Input impedance of 75K? This amp can be used as balanced.
