Thanks for all the suggestions. I listened to the CAT extensively in another system consisting of similar sources. What I found out (relatively speaking as I was not familiar with the rest of the system) was that the phono was spectacular and I have nothing really to complain, however on the line side playing via CDP I was left with a more dynamic or attention-grabbing sound. It would not do justice to come to conclusion now really but initial feeling right after listening to the phono section left me wanting more from the line side. Anyway, I will have to put it in my all-Innersound system then give it a good evaluation. For the time being, I will look at more publications to get better understanding.
