Seriously consider the Jeff Rowland Design Group Capri at $2700, new. Add $355 for the excellent phono cards. This is serious. Guido Corona of TAS retired his ARC Ref3 after hearing the Carpi and another poster on Audiogon retired his Conrad Johnson Premier 17LS2.

I retired my Conrad Johnson CA200 for the JRDG Continuum 500 integrated amp, which uses the Capri pre-amp stage. I've got the phono cards. The difference between the Capri and Rowland's no-holds-barred, $18000 Criterium exists, but it won't blow you over. The Capri needs to be considered by anyone budgeting up to $12,000, IMHO, it's that good.
