NAD C162 or Acurus RL11

I had used Acurus L10 preamp for awhile and replaced it with McIntosh C15 preamp.
I knew that Mc C15 was not the top of the line, but it was McIntosh after all.
What a disappointment! Poor imaging, unrefined highs and artificial booming bass.

I sold C15 and re-acquired another Acurus RL-11. I have been pleased with the sound; good imaging, refined top, middle, and honest bottom end.
I even tried other Mondial design preamps such as Aragon 18K and 24K.

My conclusion was that the little RL11 was superior to other Aragon lines in terms of performance and cheaper as well.
Also, most of Mondial design groups' products are really well built.

NAD C162 preamp has been extolled by many for their performance/price ratio.
Just wondering if anybody has compared C162 to RL11.

Many thanks in advance.
