I recall when I owned a Sony SCD-777 SACD player, there was a warning in the owners manual concerning the use of the "full range" (I don't remember exactly what it is called) switch on the rear of the unit. It was something along the lines that one should proceed with caution when using the unit in "full range" since frequencies up to 100 kHz could be present at the output when playing an SACD and that some amps could have problems dealing with those frequencies. Perhaps a current oner of a SCD-1 or SCD-777 could chime in with the actual wording.
