Hard for me to tell about alleged rolled off highs and lack of "air" in the treble as I'm 74 yrs. old, and with age my HF sensitivity has steadily deteriorated. Also, the tweeter on my Scan-Speaks is over 20 yrs. old. I have noticed a somewhat improved treble with the Jolida 801A. In any event, you always have to ask, "Compared to what for the price?" No amp provides everything, at least not at a reasonable price. The important question is does this (or any other) amp provide what you value most at a price that you are comfortable with.
