Thanks for the info. I had a Classe Model 30 Pre prior to the Cary SP98. The Cary is good, but I don't think it will be in my system for a long time. I have had several amps both SS and Tube and the VAC PA90's are keepers. Not to mention the after sale service Kevin provides!

I did a DIY rebuild on a pair of Dynaco Mk III's and a Heathkit SP2 pre amp, and was really suprised at how decent the SP2 sounds.
