Depending on what the impedance curve for the speakers looks like I think I'd second the idea although I haven't heard the REF 3 yet (all reports indicate they fixed my concerns with the earlier generations of 6H30P linestages). With an OTL friendly speaker I much prefer the MA-1 to a VT 100 II or VT 200. I would also grab it in a heartbeat over the C-J or McIntosh gear.
