Re: It Could Be Old KEF Technology ??

At noon there was three pair left at the Portland BB off of Airport Way. They didnt have any on display and had to get a ladder to get my pair down off the top of the racks. I paid $45.99 telling the wife they were my fathers day present, and that if I didnt like em we had 30 days to return them. I dont think they'll be going back...

I have them in the big room. On top of 22" stands - front and center of my MG-IIIA's. I dont think I'll be selling my Maggies, but these are FUN to play with! They image as well as any small 2 way, and better than most. They go pretty loud too. I have a grand total of about 4 hours on them. We'll see how they loosen up. If they end up as good as I think they will, they are giant killers for the money. They'll probably end up in my computer room system running in the extreme near field with tubes.

This is fun. I cant wait to hear about how people mod them. I've been hesitant to start my modding education with my MG-IIIA's. It will probably be easier for me to start tearing into a $46 pair of speakers...

Enjoy,
bb
