Stacked Quad ESL 57's are among the best systems out there, at any price. Yes there are limitations but stacked 57's are supremely musical. At least one well respected high-end cable manufacturer (David Magnan of Magnan Audio Cables) uses stacked 57's in his reference system. Yep they're that good. As a dealer for electrostats, I'll volunteer that stacked 57's would probably be among my scariest competition.
