After reading your post yesterday, I just had to try this. I am packing for a move so I have a few empty rooms to experiment with.My 1.6QRs (tweeters outside) did the best dissapearing act of all time in the "Rooze" configuration. Strange but when I tried it in a more reflective room with bare walls and laminate flooring (no rugs, carpet, etc.) it sounded even better. I only used fairly small rooms but I suspect this setup will produce a larger stage in a larger room - Duh!
Thanks, you are really onto something here Rooze. Not sure why this works so well, you would think that all this reflected sound would just produce a "soup of sound" mush that lacks any directional cues, but it does exactly the opposite. Even stranger that it does this so well with a dipole. I would guess that it wouldn't work very well with a standard box speaker but I don't have any of those to try.
