I placed 2 heavy rectangular wood blocks (18 x 1.5 x 1.5) on the rear grilles above the trannies. The bass now has better control and is less boomy. The soundstage is more focused and closer and wider to my listening chair (window to the orchestra??). Give this tweak a try and see if you can hear the difference.
