Well I threw in the towel. It was worth a try and I will keep the MC1's, but after a week of listening the left one developed a "bark" with relatively low level bass. So they're going to the bedroom for casual use with a sub.

Hung the first LRS to replace the MC1 as side surround. Second one after teatime.
