Finally got around to replacing the power resistors (3R3 and 1R5) for Mill non-inductive types in my 988s. Should have lowered the HT, too, but maybe next time.
Seems there is a better response to percussion transients and bass is a bit clearer and richer. Probably placebo, but anyway...
It's a bit difficult to work on if you don't want to desolder all cables and pick the main card out, but a neighbour lent me a third hand. :-)
Anyone replaced the audio transformers for the new version? Are they even compatible?
