I believe Magnepan switched to the new adhesive in September 2005. Likely your pair was manufactured earlier in the year or perhaps the new glue, in real world conditions, offers no benefit. Let's hope this is not the case!
I don't believe the 3.6R model was ever produced with foil conductors- just round wire for both bass and mid-range and of course the true ribbon tweeter.
