Updated HK Citation 11 sounds good with ESL-63's.
What problems have you had? I have tried quite a few tube amplifiers and haven't had any amplifier problems. Each had it's own strengths and weaknesses.
One thing that has helped is crossing them over around 150 Hz and running with subs. It takes a lot of the stress off of the panels.
