RE: Can I just disconnect a bad panel in my Quads?

Don't know of any on-line guides. The 98 series is a bit more difficult versus the 63.

Turn the speaker upside down and remove the bottom plate. The entire bass assembly will need to be remove. It is attached to the upper assembly with (8) M7 bolts. Remove the bolts. Unsolder the two wires soldered to the delay assembly. Unsolder the wire going to the EHT supply. Remove the sniffer antenna wire going through the delay line assembly.

Now the entire bass assembly can removed. Remove the grille.

Remove the front/rear screens. They are screwed to the frame. You can use a flat head screw driver to pry them off the frame.

Remove the dust assemblies, front/back, by using the flat head screw driving an inserting in the top slots on either side of the covers. Pry the corners loose and remove the covers. DO NOT CUT OFF.
