RE: Amps for Maggies. Tube vs SS (I've searched)

Since you are in a smaller space then you can probably do as well by adding a pair of smallish subwoofers. Something like an 8" sealed, a pair would give you the equivalent of a 12" sub and will provide more uniform bass. For the smallish space the 120W MFA will do fine with any maggie so long as it does not have to drive the heavy bass. If you cut off an MMG or .7 at 80 hz the amp will readily handle the small to medium sized room. In a large room that might not be enough even with a sub.

In a way, for the non-DIYer this is overall a better solution than biamping.
