I'd seriously consider the mini Maggies, small, unobtrusive and you could actually place them on top of a coffee table (or two). I'd also get a decent sub (or the one offered with it) hidden and out of the way of course, to add an extra layer of smoothness and lower punch.It's interesting Magnepan's website now touts them as a NON-computer speaker a description which seems to bounce it's way back and forth among the planar community.
In any event it has a home trial so if it doesn't work out you can simply ship them to me ; )
