How about some floor standing JansZens?
They will be much less obtrusive.
Being monopoles they can be put back against the walls.
The amps will drive the JansZens easily.
They can be room highlights, say the red ones,
Or they can blend in, like being painted the wall colour.
And, they will sound at least as good as the 1.7s, probably better.
Could consult with the wife regarding colour (now that is a real nice gesture!).
Real selling point is how much less obtrusive they are!
Remember: a happy wife is a happy life!!!!!
Will say my wife did eventually get used to my spectra 22s and they are much more obtrusive than the maggies!
