WAF intervening on a system anchored by 1.7is.

My friend is a musician, but he caught the bug many years ago and has now worked his way up to a spectacular sounding system with 1.7is being driven by a pair of 7B ST monoblocks. The system is in the living room, but he has them set up well and they are not compromised. They are dialed in, last night I was over and was floored by the size and realism they presented.

Now his wife has decided to redo the living room, and the tug of war between keep and sell the 1.7is has begun. His wife wants on wall.

I have owned several pairs of Maggie's over the years, but I have no idea how well the newer smaller wall mounted Magnepans sound. Are they able to perform at a 1.7 level?

What other options are worth looking into?
