RE: Cousin just gave me distressed tympani 1-Ds what amp.

I looked at the wyred4sound, the Rogue Pharaoh and I few other brands and I'm pretty attracted to the idea of starting with 2 hypex nCore400 and a SMSP1200. The power supply should give me plenty of headroom to add more amplifiers in the future.

If I do go the bi-amping route I will definitely do it passively using the stock crossovers.

My existing components consist of a Software Defined Radio, computers, mackie 1202-VLZ and a Denon DCD-810.
