In other words, Jack the Driver part of the panel up, and move an entire NEW speaker under it!
IMO, however, 'braced' stands made of metal COULD induce more problems than they solve.
I'd go for RIGID wood, and as light as possible. 'Ingenious' design trumps brute force.
