Bypassing the fuse is fine, but I think you should leave the attenuating resistor location active. To me, the speakers are unlistenable without an attenuating resistor in place.
On your second photo, I would simply remove the black wire connection from the upper lug on the fuse block and connect it to the lower left banana jack.
