Yes, I'm building from scratch, and I do know about Green Glue and doubling the dry wall, as well as the decoupled room-within-a-room concept, although I don't think I'll have to resort to the latter idea because if feasible this basement room will have block walls, so plenty of mass. Just have to figure out the ceiling and AC, and whether dipoles and monopoles can work with the same treatments. I've read enough to know it will be impossible to keep the bass from escaping. I just don't want it bothering my neighbors whose house is about 25' from mine.
