Thanks very much for your contribution. I'll be making a trip to audition the .7's within the next month or two. In the meantime, I'm trying to decide if I want to sell a pair of Sonus Faber Monitors to finance purchase of the new Magepans. I'm reluctant because the SF's are so nice and are fun to alternate with my MMG's depending on my mood. I'm guessing my MMG's would fetch about $300 bux which would help.
My electronics should be just fine- vintage MFA tube gear (preamp and mono amps) which have been upgraded. I also run a surprisingly good C272 NAD amp in the summer. The mono amps kick out some serious heat! :)
In any event, I keep thinking about the .7's and figuring they might just be my "last pair' of speakers. :)
