The HF controls on the Acoustat interfaces are not working. I've been told that some very fine sandpaper and contact cleaner will restore the contacts on the rheostats and correct the problem. My question is this. Would it improve the quality of the Acoustat's top end by disabling the HF controls and bypassing them altogether? I've always had the HF control set to maximum anyway for the best sound. Any knowledgeable advice is appreciated!
