Acoustat 2 + 2 questions

I just bought some custom Acoustats. They started life as a pair of model 4s and were converted to a 2+2 clone with heavy custom frames, albeit with one set of panels slightly more narrow than the others. Each speaker has one 8" next to one 9" wide panel above the same combo. This suggests that the 4s were an early pair, I believe. Is that correct? Interfaces are modded 121-2a Medalliaon Reds. They sound great even with my triode strapped 807 tube monos, believe it or not- a whopping 12wpc!

I am leaning towards SS for these and am thinking of a pair of strapped Bryston 2bs and an Adcom 750 preamp. I have an Oppo BDP 95 as my main source. My current preamp is a custom tube piece but I'd like remote control...

Looking for feedback about the Bryston/ Acoustat combo and also seeking info about the Spectra 22 tweeter mod. Any help would be most welcome and appreciated.
