Greetings inmates. First off.. apologies if this is a repeat but I can't find any threads with this discussion. I own a vintage pair of MG-1s and have enjoyed them for years. Recently I lost the tweeter section (confirmed no continuity through the section with a meter) of the left one. I ordered the repair kit from Magnepan and followed the instructions to replace. Tedious but I got it done. Now I have sound from the tweeter section but the sound from it is very low and "muddy." No distortion or rattling. Any other inmates have similar experiences and have advice? Could I have used too much of the final coat of adhesive? Bad crossover? Bad cap? Before I invest any more money I'd like to have some advice from others who've gone through this. Thanks inmates!!
