Then I just misinterpreted the text. :)
Regarding the original EMIM's they are very constricted due to them being a membrane design and are supposed to lend over the sound reproduction to the bass towers at 150Hz.
The system just sound wrong without the right "body" in the sound.
And this due to the lack of output around 150Hz.
So I made the decision to replace all 14 of the EMIM membranes with ribbons made by Apogee Acoustics. (They are made specifically for the EMIM).
Now the RS1b is transformed to a full blood.
