Many inmates prefer the 3.6's for their ability to bi or tri-amp them...also the ability for an outboard passive or active crossover and tweak-ability...

IMHO...the biggest difference I heard from the 3.6 to the 3.7 was the bass and more coherent sound...

Attached below is my comparison from 3.7 to 3.71...I live 20 minutes for the Magnepan Factory so the upgrade was a no brainer for me...

This has been discussed ALLOT on this forum if you use the search feature...

Personally I feel the used 3.6's are the best buy on the used market right now...$2500-$1800 on Audiogon...

I have never owned the latest model so I bought the 3.7's used for $4200, for my 50th birthday... Then 6 months later they came out with I' upgrade...with no shipping...I took the $500 plunge and IMHO...worth every penny...

All 3 models are great speakers...really can't go wrong with any of them...
