RE: Horizontal, anyone?

The owner's manual of the MC1 do have an optional placement location as horizontal. I use the MC1 as the rear channel in my surround system and tried them horizontal and didn't like the i that orientation. I found that there was too much localization of the rear channel when they were mounted horizontal. I think the MMGW can be mounted horizontal too. (again the suggested use is in rear surround channel) Coming up with a secure mounting system for the MMG's would be challenging since the frames are MDF and when screwing into MDF it has a tendency to split since it doesn't compress like wood. You should be very careful and make sure you have adequate pilot holes drilled and use wood glue on the screws. (some people suggest using non-tapered wood screws.)
