Ceiling height matters. As would the ratio of height to length or width.
An 8 foot ceiling means the width is 1.5 times height. Not ideal.
A 10 foot ceiling is maybe better.
I suspect the 20 series is a tight fit in this room given you generally don't want to sit UP against the wall and the panels need maybe 3' MINIMUM to 5' which is nice, behind them to the front wall.
Side spacing is important, too.
If you want a true ribbon, maybe the 3 series would be a good investment. The 3.6 is WAY down in price and available. That may work.
All that being said, some of the non-traditional setup options may help. Satie has already chimed in.
