If you are using a Marchand XM44 and your amp has no turn on or turn off thump then you don't really need protection so long as the turn on routine ends with the tweeter amps and the turn off process starts with the tweeter amps.
If you do want to use a protective capacitor on the tweeter you might as well use one that is chosen as a value for its XO function. So you can leave a tweeter series cap in place (actually you would substitute for the shunt inductor in the tweeter XO.
The benefit of that is that it leaves you with a second order XO in the Marchand tweeter circuit so you can turn off the extra filter and buffer op amps (there is a jumper for that on the board) and save yourself unnecessary active stages where the sound is most likely to benefit from it..
The Mcap supremes are very nice caps for this role, so are the Auricap XO caps. I would lean in favor of the latter. .
