RE: Tympani 1-D Placement

I recently placed mine the distance of the stand away from the back wall. That did lower the amount of bass some and seemed to tighten things up as well. I am only using the two bass panels however with some modified IIIa's, so I am not sure that is appropriate for you. So far this seems to work well for me as I have a limited space to move things in but my room is close to the same dimensions you have.. mine is 14.6' or so by about 14' just about square. They do suffer from imaging issues but there is a lot that I am going to be implementing to correct this...time alignment for one. I think with the combination I will have which is a modified DCX2496 and some room correction, that I will improve, if not perfect the imaging issue.
