RE: Tympani 1D's

I own some T 1-D's, a later version, as I have the original receipt. Mine were purchased on 10/13/78 and I am the second owner. Mine is like the picture Roger posted. They are awesome speakers and especially the bass panels. IMHO the bass panels are superb and stand in a category of their own. I guess when they are still being sought after at near or over the original price of $1395 in 78, that speaks volumes for them. Mine have been all factory rebuilt and later the Miloxane panels resealed by me with 3M 30 NF which will last much longer. You have a great pair of Maggies and i am sure you will be glad you resurrected them. I am presently tri-amping mine using just the bass panels. See my post here about the passive/active crossovers.
