RE: Placement of Tympani's for HT

Roger pointed out that the T IIIb Mid and tweeter should be the ones carrying the music and the T 1D tweeter will be useful as part of either surrounds or possibly a center but need a mid/low driver added in that function.

The combination of the T-1D and T IIIb bass panels would do the bass with 4 panels per side.

It is possible to place the 4 bass panels in the 1/4 positions parallel to the sidewalls and placing the mid and tweeter panels of the T IIIB aimed at the central listening seat at a distance of 3 or more ft from the front wall. It is best to just pull the mid and tweeter panels out into the room till they are best integrated with the bass panels.

An alternate solution is to have the mid and tweeter aimed in the Rooze configuration with the drivers aimed at the sidewalls at an angle
(appx 45 degrees)- it is worth while to try that out both near the front wall and at the end of the row of bass panels.

How are you powering up this contraption?
