Been a while since I listened to a 2.7, but I just reworked an SMG. Tweeter is inverted in relation to the tweeter. Reversed the wires for the tweeter and the speaker sounds more like an electrostatic. I believe Magnepan does this to smooth the transition of the soofer to the tweeter. ML hybrids do this also as their dynamic woofers cannot keep up with the stat's. It smears the crossover point and fools the ear into thinking that the transition area matches smoothly,
