If you want to fix the phase issues and you are a digital guy then you can use the new DEQX preamp/EQ (and electronic crossover option) to do the frequency and time domain "repair" for the speaker and room.
DEQX crossover users here on the forum have obtained impressive transient response from maggies.
Reviewers are very positive about the musical transparency of the AD > DSP > DA to musical detail. Meaning that the damage done to the signal by the process is much less than that done by the uncorrected speaker, even for a >$20k piece.
