Regardless, the filter networks phase-shift the signal in the crossover region. The objective is to yield a good summing (integrating) action between adjacent drivers in that region. If that means a relative polarity reversal is required, then so be it. Crossover networks have been designed this way for many decades. It's very common.

If this type of polarity "issue" bothers you or you're looking for some sort of time-coherent design, then you have the wrong speakers. :) Even setting this characteristic aside, large diaphragm speakers have numerous response issues just related to their physical size. You could prioritize driver polarity if you wanted to, but the crossover network would have to be redesigned.....and that would yield unintended trade-off consequences for other issues. This is not simple stuff.
