Have you tried moving them out six, eight or more feet out yet? I am just wondering what you felt the pros and cons were in your room, even if you just did it for one day to experiment.
Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting you will prefer them further out. Some do, and some don't as they clearly do different things to the sound. With your wide room width, too far out might get both bass shy and dynamically bland. Just wondering.
