Back in the day, using Pass Aleph 0's on my 57's was less than stellar, in contrast to my T4A's where they were an absolute perfect match.
My guess is, that this was due to the always existing DC offset on the Alephs' output, driving the 57's input trannies into saturation at normal listening levels.
So, if the First Watt does not use a servo to null offset, I would expect a disappointing result.
Just my experience ...
