RE: Ceiling Height and Planars

Ceiling height is no problem for line sources since they use reflections off the ceiling as extensions of the line source - so a small net positive to have a ceiling close to the top of the speaker. My short ceiling is done in flush mounted acoustic tile so is mostly out of the picture acoustically.

Your room is plenty big for a 3.x model and likely big enough for a 20.x model or a big Apogee, an Acoustat spectra and a Soundlab A1. Planars don't need that much space so long as you can put a good distance between the front wall and the speaker.
