Since breaking in the Parasound P5 preamp (2.1), it's been a real game changer for me.
I knew going in that I would eventually upright the 3.5Rs, which I am using as bass panels; using Swan Diva IIs mid/tweeter some 4ft in front of the 3.5Rs
Friday night I made the move, and was wonderfully rewarded. You might wonder why horizontal placement was an improvement, before, with the Parasound P3, but not now. Simple. The P3 lacked the power and authority of the P5, which I compensated for by running the 3.5Rs parallel to the floor
Next I will move the 3.5Rs up front and run them full range, sans Swans. If that works, as I hope, the Swans will move to my video system
