I had two pairs that tall, 1+1s and Spectra 4400s. They sounded awesome and that was a direct result of them being a true line source with huge radiating area. The floor to ceiling line of sound is fantastic and you get very little floor and ceiling bounce...the sound comes to you very direct compared to most speakers, which splash sound everywhere. Being a dipole you also get nice nulls to the sides of the speakers that reduces the side wall reflections as well.
