RE: First Watt F1 + Maggie SMGa...

Maybe you could elaborate on why you want to use the F1 amp?

That amplifier has very high output impedance and is targeted to a speaker system with a very level load impedance.....which is exactly what the SMGa is. However, the efficiency is really low and you only have about 7 watts available from that power amp. The SMGa is rated at 90db sensitivity with 2 watts input so, theoretically, you'd only be able to achieve about 96db SPL levels at 1 meter. That wouldn't be enough for most users, but if your listening requirements are very modest then maybe it would work for you.
