If you want to use low power amps the only planar to go with is a line array of Neo8 or Neo8pdr with a powered subwoofer for each channel. The line array of 8 drivers per side will give you a 96 db sensitivity and be flat up to 12khz and drop off gradually with the Neo8 or 94-95 db sensitivity and extension to 17khz with a Neo8PDR.
The bottom can be crossed over as low as 200 hz.
You can add a ribbon supertweeter if you find it lacks the last bit of top octave air

People who drive maggies with low power amps use amps with 25 watts or more and are still limited in volume as they have to keep the amp from clipping.
