I've only used two amplifiers with my 8B's. Initially a Sunfire Cinema Grand in a passive vertical biamp. Handled them with ease and if I hadn't started down a path to tubes would still be in the rack (have moved it to HT duty). Replaced with a pair of Cary SLM100 (early 90's). KT88/6SN7. 100wpc and does the job wonderfully. Even switched to triode mode at half the power they are fine. I would think any KT88/6550 design would be a good match. Had some EL34 in there for a while and they had a very simpatico sound. Might go back that way at some point.
